About Pamela Evans

Pamela Evans is the author of Driven Beyond the Call of God: discovering the rhythms of grace (BRF 1999), Building the Body: transforming relationships in the local church (BRF 2002) and Shaping the Heart: reflections on spiritual formation and fruitfulness (BRF 2011).

Having uprooted from East Sussex at the end of 2013, Pamela and her husband are now getting to know Hampshire better. The challenges of relocating and down-sizing made writing impossible for a while, but Pamela is now back at work and looking forward to seeing two pieces in print in the autumn: first, a creative approach to reflecting on aspects of fruitfulness, in Quiet Spaces (BRF), then a month of Bible notes on Colossians in Inspiring Women Every Day (CWR). A member of the Association of Christian Writers, Pamela also enjoys visiting churches and other centres to speak, and to lead quiet days and workshops on a variety of subjects.

Drawing on experience gained as a doctor, a counsellor, a member of a church eldership team, a member of a prayer ministry team, a pastoral carer, and - last, but by no means least - a wife and mother, Pamela's writing is well-grounded. As a spiritual director, her passion is to see Christians growing closer to God and becoming more effective followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. This passion is also evident in her writing. more...
